Ordering And Shipping
We currently only deliver our products within the Continental United States due to the fragile nature of our chocolates. We want to make sure that everything arrives fresh and delicious!
Can chocolate be shipped in warm weather and to hotter climates? Absolutely! In ordering during these seasons or locations it is absolutely not recommended that you have the chocolate delivered to an outside location where it will sit for several hours. Please consider that when choosing a ship to location. We frequently add cold pack materials to insure that your products are delivered just how you deserve! During the summer months of June through August, ground shipping is simply not possible throughout the country. At a minimum 2nd day shipping must be used and Next Day is preferable. At over 100 degrees locations, we simply can’t ship. We check the ship to location weather and contact you if there are any issues with shipping and costs. If you have any concerns with respect to this, we highly recommend that you choose the next day option.
How do you ship chocolate covered strawberries and other chocolate covered fruit? These delectable and decadent strawberries and other fruit can only be shipped one way – and that is next day delivery.
Can you place an order today for delivery at a later date? Absolutely! For those that are able to plan in advance, we ask that you make a note in the comments section of your order for the date that you would like it to ship and we will take care of the rest. Please note that we do not deliver on Saturday and that if you want it to arrive on a specific date that you need to choose next day delivery since we cannot control the shippers, only the method of shipment.
What are your shipping charges? While the cost of fuel has impacted everyone’s shipping costs, the Ultimate Chocolate Shoppe strives to keep their costs as low as possible. Rising fuel charges and the shippers recent surcharges have increased shipping fees. We do all we can to reduce your costs with each and every shipment. There are no extras built into our costs and at times we are even paying a portion of your shipping fee. Also, the cost for shipping for three pounds of chocolate varies only slightly from the cost to ship one pound of chocolate! So, where possible, combine your shipping for an overall reduction in shipping costs. It’s a great way to get some to give and some to keep!
Please note - A number of companies are increasing their product costs to have the shipping be artificially reduced. We prefer to take the honest approach and do what we can to keep shipping costs lower and not fudge (pun intended) our delicious products pricing!
Do you do same day shipping? All orders that are placed prior to 12 noon EST Monday through Thursday will be shipped that day. All orders received after that time will be shipped on the following Monday. Please note – we do not deliver on Saturday.
Please note – Belgian and Vegan chocolates are excluded from this. They will ship the day after the order is placed.
How long will Standard Shipping take? The map below will give you an idea of approximately how long it will take for your chocolates and gifts to arrive. Please note, there is some fluctuation due to seasonality that needs to be considered as well.
Can I ship to more than one location with this one order? Unfortunately, at this point in time we are only able to have one ship to location per order. However, you can use all your information from your account on a second order and just change the ship to information and gift card information and we will process both or all orders for you that day!
Can I choose what items are in my assorted boxes of chocolates? Each of our chocolates are handmade and packaged to give a range of taste and flavors for our customers. In order to get you your products in a timely manner we are not able to accommodate individual item selection. But please check out our gourmet chocolate selection where we have packaged a variety of our most popular and favorite choices all on their own!
Do I receive an order confirmation? Absolutely! You will receive an order confirmation to your email address after placing your order. It will identify your order number and total as well as other pertinent information.
What about a shipping confirmation? Absolutely! Upon shipping your chocolates, we will send you a shipping confirmation for your order.
Can I create an account for future orders? Absolutely! You will be asked to create an account during the ordering process. Upon completion of your account, look for a coupon in your email inbox as our way of saying Welcome!
Why did my chocolates arrive from different locations? We ship our chocolates from two different locations currently on the East Coast. Depending upon the products that you order, you might end up receiving two packages. But not to worry – there is no additional shipping costs or additional charges for that happening!
Allergy Questions and Information
Chocolate may frequently contain: dairy or milk products, nuts and/or peanuts, or gluten. People with any of these allergies should NOT be consuming our products.

If you need to cancel an order, please call us at 1-888-482-4626 immediately so that we can stop the shipment. Orders cancelled after shipment must be handled as a return. But don't worry, if you cancel after an order has shipped, you can just ship it back to us for a full refund, minus shipping charges.
Miscellaneous Questions and Information
Do you do volume discounts? Absolutely! The more your order the more you can save. If you are ordering over $550 worth of product we can give you a discount of at least 5%. Volume discounts above that level are based on additional order amounts. Please email us at

How do I store my chocolate when it arrives? Your chocolate will last two to three weeks at room temperature. That is assuming the temperature is between 60-70 degree Fahrenheit. You also must keep your chocolate out of direct sunlight. (We don’t need to explain why do we?)
Chocolate covered strawberries should be consumed as soon as possible -preferably the day of delivery or the day after delivery. We also recommend that if they are not being consumed the day of delivery that they be stored in the refrigerator.
